Hello, my name is Princess
and I am a very lucky cat. with a loving home, a warm bed to call my own, plenty
of delicious food, toys to play with and other cats and dogs for company. But it
was not always the case.
I was found wandering
along the streets as a very young cat - no more than a kitten really. A kind
lady, worried that I might stray into the traffic picked me up and brought me to
a friend's house.
They then made enquiries
to find my owners and - imagine everyone's horror - when it was discovered that
my 'family' had put me out on the street on purpose because they did not want me
anymore! Apparently I was 'disobedient', 'disruptive' and, anyway, it turned out
that I was a girl and they only wanted a boy cat! Honestly, instead of trying to
find a new home for me, they just threw me out on the street to either be killed
or survive on my wits alone.
Well, my Rescuing Angel decided that she would let me stay with her until a new,
responsible family could be found for me. It was during my time with her that it
was found that I am totally deaf. Apparently this is quite common in pure white
cats with blue eyes - I didn't know that, but anyway it hadn't occurred to me as
I'd been deaf since birth and just assumed that everyone was the same. No wonder
I was so disobedient - I couldn't hear what they were saying to me!
Unfortunately not many
people want to take on a handicapped animal, and deafness can cause all sorts of
problems if you live in a town, so my Rescuing Angel decided that I could stay
with her permanently, as one of the family, living in her house in the country.
I now live with six dogs - ranging from very tiny to a large German Shepherd -
and three other cats. We all get on extremely well and often snuggle up together
when we go to sleep at night.
In the meantime I help to
raise funds for P.A.W.S./PATAS, so they can rescue other cats and kittens not so
fortunate as me. By sponsoring me you are helping the Society to do just that,
and also help with the cost of neutering and feeding many other feral cats who
do a good job in keeping the mouse and rat population under control.
I really am so happy, but I do realise just how different it might all have been
if I had not been rescued by P.A.W.S./PATAS!
Thank you for being my sponsor.
Tipo de Gato: Hembra
Nacido: 1997
propios y muchos juguetes, atención personal, y amor.
