Adopt a PAWS-Patas Dog or Cat

Thank you for your interest in adopting one our special animals. We have numerous dogs and cats for you to choose from who are eagerly waiting to find their Forever Homes. Maybe it will be yours!

All animals adopted through PAWS are fully vaccinated. However young puppies or kittens may still be undergoing their initial vaccination program. They will have been thoroughly examined by our vet, and treated for internal and external parasites. Those of a suitable age will have been spayed or neutered.

On adoption of a dog we ask for a small donation to help offset the costs of the animal’s medical treatment during the time it has stayed with us. The minimum cost of this for adult dogs is €90; for puppies €70. For cats there are costs – but these are variable, so our cat team will accept any donation, whether financial or in the form of goods such as pet food, bedding or items which could be sold at fund raising events or taken to the Paws shop.

The standard treatment for all animals includes: worming, flea & tick treatment, puppy vaccination, 1st adult vaccination, 2nd adult vaccination, blood test for Leishmania & Ehrlichia, Rabies vaccination and the pet passport for Spain. All adult animals are spayed or neutered.

Viewing

You can view individual profiles of almost all our dogs or cats available for adoption (click here) There are photos, histories and character assessments. When you’ve found an animal that you feel would suit your needs – then tell us: by email or phone (all below).

Photographs are great! But nothing beats meeting the animal in person. Ask for a viewing appointment, and an experienced staff member can guide you around The Shelter, and offer you seasoned advice.

If you don’t find exactly what you want – keep checking back. We have new animals coming in all the time. Tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll keep a special eye out on your behalf and notify you if a likely prospect arrives.
